If I am not mistaken, he took and inch off of the SD cups. That means the cups are about 1 1/2" tall. I cut mine 7/8" short, making my cups 1 5/8" tall. One ? How is the frame drilling? Does it take an hour a hole, and a few bits....or is it not so bad?

Well, I started out w/a step bit after a recommendation from this board. I got about half-way down the bit before it decided to stop cutting. Luckily Lowe's took it back (it was like $35!) I then got the Titanium(?) coated Bosch bits and combined them w/some good lube. Cut through the frame like butter! I used a hole saw for the air fitting hole. Just took one drill bit and one hole saw bit for those, but I will use a new ones on the other side. (I've only done one side so far) The worst part was the hot metal shavings that got on me! OUCH! If u are drilling from underneath, make sure u wear long sleeves and eye protection!

Jumping In - You are right about the "HOT" Metal shavings. Had tiny little dots on my neck from burns. "Do Not Drill Without Proper Eye Protection, I could only imagine.

To continue - I made a template for the top holes, Started with 3/16", then to 1/4", I believe next I went straight to the 3/8". For the airfitting hole I also used a hole saw (slightly used). I started with the same procedure up to 1/4" bit, Then to the 1" hole saw.

I installed Slam's RE 7's, With 1" x 3/8" bolts and washers.

Hot shavings... ohh yeah. I got a rather larger one right in the crook of my arm. I still have the scare. It made me look like a druggy with a track mark.

I was wearing short sleeves... (I live in AZ, I don't think I even have a long sleeve shirt anymore ) I was getting little burns here and there, they hurt a bit but no big deal... Got a big chunk down my shirt and it fused to my skin! Needless to say I got out from under the truck real quick. Then when I got done and scrubbed all of the grease and dirt off of myself, I had red marks all over my arms, ESPECIALLY in the pits of my elbows. Made me look like one of the local tweekers w/sores all over em! O.o

People who work on these things all the time are probably shaking their heads. But this is my first truck, so I'm learnin! So I will stress again... EYE PROTECTION!!

Is the bed cut on this truck? I wanted to know.....cause its real low in the back (c-notch, lowering blocks) You would think the pumpkin would be hitting. Any bed pics??

Raceagmc, check out www.***************** for complete air bag kits. Or buy stuff in stages used from other board members in the suspension forum or on ebay. Step bits work good for me.

OK so I want to bag my truck also, I want to use the Slam Specialties bag after reading so much about them here, but there are so many options, RE7, RE8, HE7, HE8, I know that R's are 200 and H's are 400lbs. which one do you guys recomend!!! (Oh ya I got a 67 fleet short..)

Many truck owners here run Re7's or Re8's. 7's being most popular.

To raise your vehicle will never exceed 200psi.

Unless you need 2 ports save your money and go with 7's from SuicideDoors.

I bought the Air Ride's from Suicide Doors after the Slams were out of stock and on backorder.

I haven't installed them yet, but I was assured that they are a better quality bag vs Slams.

Hey Tim question... I cant decide between c-notch (which I already installed) or a full step notch. I do not have tires to see where I will sit, and don't care to "lay the frame" I was looking at your stance fully lowered, and I love the stance, what size tires do you have? Over all height.. trying to get an idea to help me decide..

Sorry, hope I didn't come off as an ass. I AM an ass, but didn't mean to be in the post.

There is TONS of info on this board about bagging your truck. I did mine (noob alert!), and I got all of the info here and from a few well-placed calls.
