Not to be mean, but i dont usally give away anything or sell anything for that matter

70GMC needs a little help so i offerd what i could to him. he is kidd that simply doesnt know what it takes to do alot with our trucks. im no expert by any means.. but i have worked on these trucks for 9 years and i am a body technician . so putting a front end on a truck to me ,is easy as pie.. im just trying to help a kidd out and thats about it...
70 GMC i dont know what shipping would be or where to look, you might ask someone who has done this before.. i dont think the fenders will be all that much, but i think the hood would break the bank. that goes for the core support also...let me know what you want to do...As far as you coming here on christmas break...let me know the dates you are thinking and i will see what i can come up with. im usally a little busy around christmas but if i can make something happen i will.....unless your out driving that pile<lol> dont worry about it . my offer stands as i said in other posts... if nothing else summer will be here before you know it...

Greyhound has the best rates on oversize shipping, but you have to pick your stuff up at a bus stop.
I don't know what their deal is with insurance, but I do know people who have shipped their surfboards without breakage.

you CAN have the parts...im trying to help you but you wont help yourself.....i have offerd everthing i can, and i do want to help you,but geez...let me know what you want to do.....you send me the same texts . i think i have handled all the basics... all you have to do is either ship the parts to your house or set up a date to come here, either way the parts are yours........

Go to Greyhound.com and go to services.They have a shipping service.You need the longest dimension of each package and the weight to get a quote.Then,send to money to Bad6772 and wait.He needs to prepay to ship.
I just shipped with them.I had to buy packaging at a Mailboxes,ETC and out of curiousity got a quote from them.They are independant and check all the shippers and give you the cheapest quote.It was $114 compared to Greyhound`s $41.

well tonight I went like everyone said to some one that does body work and it would be $800.00 thats alot and he did not say that he would paint it. The guy goes to family dollar which is a company that I work for its kinda like walmart but 10X smaller. There was a guy that was there and he said he would sell me a red GMC that was a 71 or 72 and it was a manual and all he wants for it is $400.00 for it. Bad6772 has the parts free but how much is the gas up north cause im in north carolina and its $3.09 for the cheap stuff.

for example the gas prices and if I can figure something out and how many miles is to bad6772's house vice a versa. Im trying to come out cheap as possible and bad6772 do you have the grill moulding that goes around the grill???

The truck of undetermined condition will cost you $400.00

The body shop will charge you $800.00 to fix and bondo your parts

Gas will prob cost you $400.00 plus the cost of broken parts on the way.

All that being said all options except the body shop you are going to have to pull off the parts on your truck and replace them with new parts. The body shop will fix the damage but won't do anything for the rust problems you have in those areas. The guy wanting to sell you a truck for the parts prob has rust issues in the cup area on the fenders as well as the rad core support not an improvement. bad6772 offered a complete rust free front end which is prob better than what was on the front end when you "dinged it at 3 mph into a pole". This is the best option for you and more than likely will be the cheapest go out to your truck get seperate measurements for each of the parts he is going to give you. Next step call Greyhound get the pricing of shipping these parts from his zip code to yours. Then make it happen.

Hold on Everyone ! I must take a moment and compliment 70' GMC on his use of punctuation. Thank you very much. Your threads are much easier to read. Since you are looking for someone to tell you what to do, I will. Call Bad6772, and ask him when it is convenient for him that you come to his place. Make your schedule work around his (he is giving you free parts after all). Make the road trip and when you get there help him and learn from him how to disassemble and reassemble your front end. Think of this as a raod trip/ educational field trip. After he is done offer to take him (and possibly his wife and kids) out for dinner in gratitude. Head home and be happy that there are gracious people in this world. Someday return the favor to someone else that needs help. That is what you should do. End of story.
