If you take a pre 70 rear end you can fit a 10" wide wheel with 4.5" backspacing. I know this because this is what i have on my truck. It won't fit with a 70+ rear end. With the shorter rear end you only have 1/2"+ of clearance but it clears!!!!!! My rear tire is 275/30/20.

With out knowing the housing length vs. stock & the final ride height, everyone would only be guessing. This is not an area on a build to guess.....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

i did the same on mine all im gonna do is gusset the plate the holes are in. i noticed on his pics that he cut the whole plate and upper spring cup off and welded a plate. he drilled the holes for the upper arm and im sure gusseted it. i studied this thread and his pics pretty hard before i done mine. and i have to say its a good bit of work but it pays off when the wheel is centered. im just a broke guy tryin to build my dream. but thats usually how it goes.
