Re: My 1972 chevy c10 father/son build
Pep Boys and autozone have nice LED bulbs cheap. You can also buy these balloon like slip on covers that go over you're regular bulbs. I would go LED, but that's just me. You can't ever have bright enough brake lights..........

do you have to change the socket thing to convert it to LED? or does it plug into the original socket

They go in the original socket (1147??). You may also have to change your flasher relay.

, No worries. I'm not here to get points, just here to help out when I can, . Take care and post pictures when you get the bulbs in. If you can't find any, let me know, I think they are about $8-10 a piece here. I could pick them up and ship them to you.

Subscribed man! Nice truck and nice progress on the truck. Im feelin the flat black. Thats just my two cents though. And as far as painting the truck, black on black is always nice. You can never go wrong that way. How did u black out ur running and signal lights?

Re: My 1972 chevy c10 father/son build
Oh yeah heres some updates
I went crazy the day before the oklahoma board meet and i did all this in one day. I sanded the entire truck and painted it and redid my exhaust from the headers back, did straight pipes that exit in front of the rear tires heres some pics from the meet(the other 2 trucks are my buddies and their the ones who made it possible for me to finish my truck in one day) |

Re: My 1972 chevy c10 father/son build
lol i like that, yeah i think im gonna leave it like that for a while. Im gonna try to get all my motor and suspension work done next, notsure if i wanna bag it or do a 4/6 static drop.
Something else is taking all my money right now. I am completly redoing my bike, good thing i got hook ups or i would be spending WAY more, revalving my suspenion($600) getting all white plastics and custom graphics(almost $300) and anodizing my forks black($60). Its gonna look like a completly differant bike. I should be getting it back next week. Here's a before shot(not a very good shot though) |

Re: My 1972 chevy c10 father/son build
I hear ya. But I think you could accomplish a 4/6 for much less than that. Then again, it depends on how you wanna do it and who u get it from. Anyways, let me know what you decide.
BTW: How do u give rep points?
