Re: Finally seeing some progress...
Ok, I didn't get to pick it up today because they still need to wet sand inside the cab and fix a few spots. BUT.... here ya go... I'm so excited and can't wait to be cruisin'. Maybe by April, if all goes good. For now, enjoy the pictures.

Re: Finally seeing some progress...
kyull67, it was painted by 249 Collision in Northwest Houston. Yes that is a smooth cowl in the bed, I'll put it on when I get the truck back. Mondo gave me the guys info to order it. I'll post more pictures of it too.
Shawn, why Colorado??? thebrown83, the tail gate gad the crease when I bought it and due to the location I figured body filler to correct it would end up cracking. Trust me when I say... I have a plan. The "cover up" should be in any day. Board member, Mekdad, has been working on my a/c control panel using my vintage air servo controls. He has also made a piece, I haven't seen, that I came up with to go across the tailgate. Will post pictures when it's on. |

Re: Finally seeing some progress...
I would like to congradulate you on the job you did on this truck. acording to the diasemble pic you now have 17 months and holding job and getting to where you are is inspiring. It turned out sweet. Im going to follow to that first burnout and look for that pic with smile of satisfaction. One thing that flashes to me is the red trailing arms and calipers will they stay red?
I have a project but havent started my thread on it. I have 1.5 years in it and cash keeps it a slow build but the goal is there and im close to starting the build thread just didn't want it to go on for years. Mine is custom extended cab 69 but i like to build one of a kind so it got to be tricked out. again thanks for sharing your build greate job

Re: Finally seeing some progress...
Bad news.... the plans to pick up my truck tomorrow have been canceled. The painter said he isn't happy with how the inside of the cab has turned out so he wants to repaint it. I guess I should be mad, but it is depressing. He could have just tried to give it back to me. Oh well, maybe Friday evening or Saturday morning.

Thanks Mike. If it wasn't for the good deals that I got from an Old Hippy, it wouldn't have been possible. HAHA.
