Thanks, steering is piece of cake! As far as turning that will depend on your wheel offset and tire height. I will have alot of room to turn when i cut the inner structure of the fender. As far as turning at full drop, with my combo and with trimming i will say about 3/4 cut before hitting the fender, but....my frame is on the ground so you can't go anywhere!! If you are going with Porterbuilt stuff, Nate is great to deal with and will help with any questions before, during or after the install!

The rear kit comes complete, all you need is hand tools and something to cut your frame in half with! I narrowed the rearend because of the backspace i wanted to use in back. You will be drilling a ton of 1/2" holes so a good drill and bits help!

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmembers & 22's on my 77 Ebay truck

I have a Dropmember on order for my 84 swb and I'm planning to have 22's. Do you have fender wells in the engine compartment? If not, would you mind posting a picture with the hood open at ride height and at full dump to show where the wheels set at either height. Also one that shows the gap between the front tire and the firewall at full dump. Thanks, I hope I'm not asking too much. I love your truck it looks amazing.

Can you get a pic at ride height if you have the time?

With a Dropmember the stock wheel wells are long gone! I will get some shots a ride height posted soon, but with a truck that lays frame as this one does, you can ride at about 4" frame to ground (with trimming the front fender inner structure)

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmembers & 22's on my 77 Ebay truck

Did you have to cut anything for driveshaft room or did the c.v. joint help with that.About how much you got in all the air ride parts on it.

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmembers & 22's on my 77 Ebay truck

No cutting on the cab at all, but you will need to cut or raise your bed floor. With about 13" of drop in back a c.v style shaft was used to eliminate bind at full dump. I have 5 grand in suspension minus air managment system.

I just saw on Hub Garage that you sold this truck. Did you finish it? or did you get a new project?

I still have the truck. I tried to pull the add off the Hub. but you cant, so i had to mark it sold. I had a ton of calls on the truck but everyone wanted to trade stuff which is the last thing i need! I'm looking to do a 59 wagon, so that will be next.

Looks Sweet!!! I would love to have the one piece glass in mine but it's not a garage queen. Heck I haven't ever parked my truck in the garage. I got too much crap in there. LOL.
