One place to look for parts trucks or maybe your next project is farm auctions. Typically old chevys go cheep, less than $500.00. My uncle and I have bought 5 on farm sales, and drove 2 of them home and the most we have paid is 375.00. The downside, most are long boxes and may not be cherry, but sometimes you find some good ones.

if the panel is warping you may have heat to high or concentrating in one area 2 long do one spot weld @ a time on diffrent parts of panel until fully welded

seriously, how can u say no to that? here they r, i used what seems to be alot of bondo, but its not that much, everytime i sand, i usually take off more that what i need so i have to redo it, and plus it has to be smooth. needs some work, but its gettin there. lots and lots of sanding

also painted the inside of my doors

Re: Caddy Light Install

i'm impressed......when i first started at 15 i ruined a whole truck to pull out a motor, and do my first attempt at body work......and yes it was an old chevy........only a longbed 79 4x4, no i have an 85 a 72 and a 49, not to mention the 62 chevy 2, and i can honestly say since i have started i have come A LONG way, whatever you do, don't be skeered to mess it up, and always always take advice from some one who has been there, when i started my escapades, i didn't want help, then my step-dad helped me and turnied it all around, live and learn and you are doing a really good job at it itseems, i work three jobs and have lost a girlfriend, and really torked my parents off over this addiction, so be really careful what u wish for, i now own a house with 2 garages full with all my junk, it is addicting, so pace yourself and you will be just fine!!
