Re: Parallel Double Park It Sideways
Thanks
Not looking for any other wheels. I'd like to find some chrome centers and use the extra silver from the roof on them. |

New Windshield! Been working on the door panels lately, I hope to have some progress to show in the next week or two.

Re: Parallel Double Park It Sideways
Made a custom lower grille for the 'Scayne using .5" rod matched to the bumper contour. Like it?
I still need to do something to the rear bumper, maybe the stock panel? Last edited by kyull67; 03-26-2011 at 12:31 PM. |

Re: Parallel Double Park It Sideways
Thanks. Probably just going to replace the shocks now. It just rides too well to mess with replacing the coils. Everyone who rides in this car comments about how we're "floating" down the road!

Yep. Motor swap in progress..
Also, door panels are turning out pretty cool. I'm having a neighbor of mine do them. Last edited by kyull67; 06-29-2011 at 04:41 PM. |

Re: Parallel Double Park It Sideways
Here are the pictures of the new engine.
Roughly 30,000 original miles, and it appears to be true based on how clean it is. Nate, the first picture shows your engine lifting brackets and where they bolt. If your cylinder head doesn't have the threaded hole, most heads at least have the casting to tap. |

Bobbo and I got it installed and running. Still needs a bit of tuning with the carb though.

Re: Parallel Double Park It Sideways
Looks good Kyle!
I'll try to get out in the garage tomorrow and see what my setup looks like. Curious... what did this motor come out of? Also, did you guys rebuild the carb or pick up a new one? What rebuild kit did you use if you did rebuild it?

Re: Parallel Double Park It Sideways
Came from a babied '74 Nova.
We used only the longblock of the '74. Everything else is stock '63 parts to keep it looking period correct. So, I'm using the original carb to the biscayne rebuilt with a kit from o'riellys. Going to pull it apart again today and check the float level and hopefully find some bigger jets for it. |
