I have a piece of metal over the tank opening because I don't want debris or sparks in the tank. The u shaped metal in the floor of the box is the frame. When I slide the bed forward the inner bed panel will line up with this. The floor of the box will be flat up to the filler and then it will angle up to protect it. Tomorrow I am picking up the hinge for the lid and the access door for the fuel pump

Found a bumper in the shed don't remember where it came from or what car it is off of but it fits the shape of the truck instead of the stock round one. Made brackets for it. I will make a stone shield to fill in the gap. What do you think

Hey I am a newbie to this site. My buddy is working on a 53 pu and putting a 350 in it. He is having trouble figuring out what steering box to use that will give him the same geometry with the soiled axle. Anyone have an idea on the one that will work? Btw this build is wonderful. Good job.

I did a 54 with a stock frame and stock steering column and everything fit perfect. He should definitely upgrade the brakes. I had to stand on the brakes to hold it at a light.

Anybody have any idea what this bumper came off of?? I am looking for bumper bolts and have not had any luck. The head is curved and its 7/16 bolt

Maybe put hidden bolts in and weld up and paint or plate the bumper

Found the bolts. Turns out this bumper is off of a 62 Studebaker Lark. Found the bolts online should be here this week

In June 2010 I started this project and I can't believe it's coming up on 4 years. It's time to finish this. I put a door panel on. Tomorrow I will make a list of projects left and finish this thing.

new plan on the box. I found a premade one. Fits great and if I need to change the fuel pump I just pull the box

shot color on half the bed. One more side to go

putting pcs on. Starting look like there is an end in sight

Picked up the new wheels and tires. Love these. Looks like the rear needs to drop about 5 inches. Maybe axle flip will do it.

Painted the inside of the tailgate yesterday. Monday will be the outside

got the bumper back from the chromers. Looks great. I want to start driving
