Runnin' Shine by Dell Conner. Chorus is " I was running shine down highway 9 'fore I was old enough to drive" I quit counting how many speeding tickets I got to this song.

Re: Your Truck's "Theme Song"

I think mine would have to be Jackson Browne "Running on Empty" because I only ever put enough gas in it to last a few days and with the 3.73's and the way I drive it the needle is always closer to the E.

I've also said if I ever built a gasser I would name it Midnight Rider after the Allman Brothers Band song. "Not gonna let'em catch the Midnight Riderrrrr!"

I think my '69's theme song is Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion". Something about that song (and maybe it's because it was used to open up "Dazed and Confused" ) just reminds of my truck every time I listen to it. I dunno.

Can't wait to hear y'alls!
Same exact song and reason. Gave me the skittles when that came on when I was cruising. Just felt right.

Another possibility for me would be Brantley Gilbert's Hell on wheels

Smile Re: Your Truck's "Theme Song"

....theme song....hmmm, I'll have to think on that one for my great little 1/2 ton.
However, If I had a Ford truck (...which I don't) I would have to go with the Beatles song: "Don't Let me Down".

Re: Your Truck's "Theme Song"

Glad I was thinking of this the other day, lots of great songs. An assortment between Metal & Country... and Katy Perry
I wonder if we were on a Trans Am site if the theme song to Knightrider would be the most chosen

Re: Your Truck's "Theme Song"

I think my trucks theme song is "cheap thrills" by david allen coe. I dont have a whole lot of money wrapped up in my truck and its my favorite thing to drive so this song describes my truck pretty good. But a good cruising song is "bang a gong" by T.rex, I swear my truck runs alittle better when this song comes on the radio haha.
