First "official" drive...
Well, the seats came back from the upholstery shop and I could not be more pleased. Fortunately, the original upholstery was in good shape, so they were able to use that as a template. We kept the original stitching on the sides, but went with a horizontal pattern in the middle. This is a combination of late 60's GM muscle and the stock C-10 pattern.
The first drive went great. It is 90 degrees here today and it kept cool and ran well. Great comments everywhere we went and a bunch of thumbs up! Even had a few comments on the authentic 1967 License Plate that is now registered to the truck...very cool. There are still a bunch of minor things that need to be finished up, but it is great to have it drivable once again. Thanks again for all the support and positive comments along the way!!!

Pub...
Hi all.
The truck got some publicity today on thethrottle.com. We thought they were going to run one photo, but they ended up posting 60. It was quite a surprise and very cool. Here is a link to the post. http://thethrottle.thechive.com/2012...ion-62-photos/ Take some time and check out the site. They have some great car shots on there.

Re: 67 C10 SWB Build
Helloooo....
You got to the best part of the build (Done!) and you've left us hanging. I'd like an "after" video like the one you did when it was red ("before")! More pictures or a few stories!

Quick Update...
Hi all,
Sorry I have been away for a while. First off, thanks for all the positive comments! I can't express enough what it means to hear from so many people. The "Chive" spread was totally unexpected and very, very cool. I never thought that would happen. The tire and wheel combination is actually what was on the truck when I bought it. American Racing 15 x 8 Torq Thrust aluminum wheels and BFG Radial T/A tires. The fronts are P235/60/15 & rears are P275/60/15. I was going to go with an 18" set up, but I thought I would try painting the wheel spokes a charcoal gray color and see how they looked before spending a bunch of money on a new set up. I am very pleased with how they came out & it was worth the hours of prep & paint. As for a video, I will work on getting one shot & try to edit something that would be fun for others to watch. I have tried throughout this thread to keep it pretty brief & will do the same in the video. As for the truck, I have taken it to one local show and it was received very well. I got lucky and they put me on an end spot in the main drag, so it was hard to miss. So many positive comments that evening, that it was hard to leave the truck and walk around! A quick story from that night. A few weeks prior to the show, we finished hanging the bumpers and trim on the 63 Grand Prix we purchased. My 17-year old son was driving it to meet me so we could take both vehicles to the show & while on his way, he was rear ended! Most importantly, everyone was ok. . . the Pontiac. . . not so much! He was stopped waiting to turn left after some traffic cleared and he got plowed into from behind. It totaled the little Dodge Neon that hit him and did just under $6k in damage to the Grand Prix. So, that car is now in getting redone and hopefully we will be able to do our first show together sometime in July. A few photos of the wheel painting process and the GP are below. Thanks all

Speaker box
Well, the speaker box is built and installed and now covered with carpet. Just got to get the seats back in this weekend and we can call this truck complete!
The guys who did my seats also covered the box. Seems like an easy thing to do until I watched them do the work. Nice job Serge and Jim... THANKS. Once all completed, I will shoot some good pix and some video and work on getting them posted.

Finished photos and video...
Well, I can officially say the truck is 100% complete!
I have posted a few photos from the weekend and even put together a video and posted it to youtube. It should also be just below this text... Stick with it...there are photos of the process and it ends with a video from this weekend : Though I understand, it is too bad we can't add music to videos anymore without the fear of going to jail! So, when you watch the video, please imagine some ZZ Top and Sammy Hagar playing in the background... then when the final photos come up, the music should switch over to the "Gasoline" song from OVERHAULIN! Thanks again for all the support and ideas along the way! Chase

Re: 67 C10 SWB Build
Hi. I have a 10" pipe that screws into the fill port so I can stick the filler nozzle in all the way. It has to fill pretty slow because of the 90 degree turn just under the bed, but it works well.
