Re: 67' C10 Build V8 Conversion & 700r4 trans
I received Most of the parts back from Powder Coat Painter.
Two of the parts needed to be re-painted as they were not perfect. 1. Inner fender semi gloss Black 2. Headlight backing plate Painted in Ultra Chrome. I should get these back a couple of days. Once my frame is completely painted I can start re-assembly. NICE!! NICE!! NICE!! I will post some pictures as I start assembly.

Re: 67' C10 Build V8 Conversion & 700r4 trans
Hey Mud.man.Rj,
Northern Canada, yea you probably have a lot more snow than I do. I dont usually get this kind of weather in Southern Oregon, Just 30 miles from the California Border. But, I wanted to go Motorcycle riding today, but look at that Bike. It is actually nice to have some snow, really pretty, it is suppose to snow all night and tomorrow, then it will be gone. This is all due to Phil the Ground Hog seeing his shadow, I think it's time to go ground Hog Hunting.

Phil the Groung hog is probably protected after what he brought, like you said I guess it doesn't last long there, only last 6 months here that is why people by snowmobiles here and I drive a lifted truck because and 2wd just sits way to long around here, but lots and lots of build time just have to drive a lot when you can,

Re: 67' C10 Build V8 Conversion & 700r4 trans
Didn't get much done Today.
Well no pictures you would want to see due to weather and a 60 ft tall Pine tree fell over in the front yard. I am glad it did not fall across the street and cause an accident. i had to cut it into pieces and remove it from the small 4 ft tall pine that it was resting on. But tomorrow I am back on the truck to work on the frame, some more, i hope. It looks like i am going to have a good paint day on Sunday, so I need to still do frame step #2 & #3 Then on Sunday hopefully get step's #4 & #5, this may be wishful thinking.

Looking good! gotta love powder coat, I've seen the chrome powder before it does look very nice. that and a little gloss black mixed with chrome for that black chrome look. It's amazing what finishes they can do now with powdercoating.

Re: 67' C10 Build V8 Conversion & 700r4 trans
Speaking of Trailing arms.
I am going to weld .125=1/8" steel flat plate to the top and bottom of each trailing arm to strengthen them, that should eliminate any flex or future problems. Then the Welded Trailing Arms will get the same Paint treatment as the frame. But First, I am going to put back together the front end, (all my hardware was bagged & tagged when i took it off during dis-assembly) before starting on the Rear End.

Re: 67' C10 Build V8 Conversion & 700r4 trans
I started Project 67' Pickup Rebuild on 1/20/2012.
That is 6 weeks and two days so Far. I am Happy with that schedule so far, with reassembly starting Monday. Providing that something doesn't come up to change my schedule. Re-Assembly, will include cleaning hardware before install, i hope that wont slow me down to much.
