I haven't got to hear it from the outside yet, I can't decide if I like it. Sounds a lot like glass packs on the inside when you open it up, not really what I was looking for, but I don't see changing it any time soon. She's back in the shop with fuel pump problems, but hopefully I'll have her back out soon.

Re: Project Rise 'N Shine
nice project, i am currently building my 67 c10 swb but i have a 70 c20 i would like to build next and like you want to keep it a c-20 also i live in bloomfield right up the road from c.b. ( the tow truck driver) i have been able to geta few parts out of him lol. i would be interested in buying any of the stuff your not going to use as i want to keep my c20 build simple as ive spent a fortune on my c10.

Widened the inner fenders 1.5" and raised the floor 5", replaced every part of the bed except the floor.

Re: Project Rise 'N Shine
let none go to waste. I like that. I've been wanting to replace some things on the inside of my bed with out spending an arm and a leg. but im sure ill find something.. on another note wanted to ask if you knew a good place to get a 5.3 or 4.8 around our area. and how hard is the swap?

Re: Project Rise 'N Shine
I cut 5" out of the center of the inner bedsides, then raised the lower section up and welded it back together. I welded 5x3 rectangle tubing to the frame where the bed mounts.
