Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
Problems persist with my build. New titlt column=no turn signals. I did pick up a set of matching doors I am happy with. I will toss the chrome and redo the panels.

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
Some progress noted. Turn signals now work. Doors being repaired by an excellent craftsman. Turn signals still do not work due to a break in the circuit board on dash panel.
Dash pad, and cabin carpets being made by a friend. Best of all, I am driving Betty daily!

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
Found a near perfect bed that will replace this frankenbed. Both doors are done and ready to hang. I have most of the front grill parts lined up. I hope to sand the dash clean this weekend.

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
Going to get the new bed today. I hope to get it put on as well. Soon I will have to fix the heat and defrost as winter has set in.

Who needs bolts when the PO had plenty of zip straps.

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
More problems persist. Changed out the water pump today. My "help" put a wrench through the radiator. No test drive anytime soon.

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
I got lucky. My Blazer radiator got fixed for $5.00. Water pumped leaked and I had to reset the pump/gaskets. All told I got another learning experience. Happy Thanksgiving from my truck to yours.

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
It took three guys but we wrestled the bumper on. Four of six bolts in place at this point. Two more need a bit of tweaking. Doors are done, front fenders are shaved, roll pan looks like it will never fit on...

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
I have now painted my dash and am wrestling with the ignition bezel! If I can remove this thing I can replace it and put my entire dash back together.
