Re: 1980 C-10 Low buck build.
Ill get some pilcs, but I used the original cover, cut it, and then put a saddle blanket cover over it. It works great. just not as pretty as it could be. But hey, im not rich.

Re: 1980 C-10 Low buck build.
My 56 bel air tank mounting. Notice I moved the brake line over. My rear end hits my bed floor. Well, not anymore!
"Lowered trucks can't haul anything." RIIIIIIGHHHHHTTTT Added a breather to the top of the tank, now it fills up great! Hood prop? My stratobench all done. Have a sweeter blanket for the top as well xD Really gets the job done!!

I really enjoy your truck. It's right on the money for low budget.

Re: 1980 C-10 Low buck build.
Lets keep on goin!
Traded my 350 (BORING) for a 1969 toyota corona (COOL) Not sure if this set up works properly, but there doesnt seem to be binding... Got my 292 stripped down..picked it up for 180$ Its 30 over... so 296. Cast iron (left) Cast iron paint (right) Painted her up. oops, big truck pilot bearing? Nothing a little grease and a makeshift hydro ram ( a socket on an extension) can't fix. 20 buck junk yard mini starter Installed!!!! Carb rebuilt, by me! Grille insert paint matched Old crusty chrome wheels sanded down and painted with rustoleam primer (same that covers whole truck) and then rustoleam semi gloss white. Swapped to a higher volume intake Wet sanding for fun! Beautiful. WELL THERE SHE IS FOR NOW! MORE TO COME SOON!!!!

Re: 1980 C-10 Low buck build.
Love the bench mod. What kind of foam and bonding agent did you use to add the dividers in your bench. I searched around for quite some time and haven't found a thing on how to do it.

I used 3m spray on adhesive available in any hardware store. The seat is amazing and holds up great.

Re: 1980 C-10 Low buck build.
Big update.
Got a 2x 1 barrel intake. Ported the 1 barrels for more flow. Installed a new set of lifters and a large howards camshaft. Got rid of thst intake for a custom one built by a buddy and I. Ran a demon for a short time, sold that, ran a predator, then eventually a holley 600. Went with a 93 c1500 5 speed. Surprisingly easy swap. Love the 5 speed. And here is how she sits. Soon I am thinking of a turbo setup. Recently turbo'd a buddies 250 with great results.
