Whoa!!!! Extremely beautiful.

Is that a kit? How much "fabbing" did you have to do?
I'd really love some details. Even though it's new, I'd love to dump the big booster.

Hopefully, I didn't miss them previously in the build thread.

I absolutely love that tarantula style intake because of the continuity of lines with the headers.
The engine compartment looks very clean and well done.
One question though why the hydroboost, are you running a huge cam?

Thanks for complement. It's coming out pretty close to how I envisioned it. Not much fabing for the hydra boost at all. Just had to redrill two new hole in the bracket to make it mount and thats pretty much it. The hydra boost is a new/re manufactured one from the auto parts store for a 1996 chevy 1 ton truck. It is basically the same system that the fancier companies use and way way cheaper. Hydra boost systems have been in use since the 70's in a lot of trucks.

A couple of reasons, one, I hate the big vacuum booster. Just doesn't look that great.

Second, I do have decent size cam installed. It would have been fine with the booster but I didn't want that look. Plus the added power of the hydra boost cant hurt

Sorry to bother you again, but I can't seem to find a hydroboost set-up that looks anything like yours.

I searched under '96 Chevrolet 1-ton and came up with a bunch of parts, none of which have the round cylinder portion (arrow).

I REALLY want to dump my brake booster and lose the big hose to the back of the intake.

I'd really appreciate any direction you could point me.

Thanks much.

Looks great. I also like how you brought your A/C lines around and back up thru the firewall rather than hiding them all together.

If you do a search for a Chevy c3500 HYDRAULIC brake booster you should come up with a list of different boosters.

Got most of the interior reinstalled. Still have to get the seats reupholstered to black leather and change out the glove box lid so it matches the dash.

Re: IT's TIME! Agent Orange under the knife... Merry Xmas

A little up date.

She is all back together and driving, well sort of lol. Got to take her to her first show. This is more for shake down than anything.

So right now now, the problem is tuning. EZ-EFI EZ. LOL Not really. Very ruff, hesitating a lot, doesn't seem like the EZ-EFI is learning. Plus have to do more tuning on the transmission shift point, etc. Going to be taking it to a specialist to tune it this week. So hopefully it will be perfect.

Still need to make the exhaust. Right now it just has my old exhaust with turn downs under the cab. HORRIBLE!!! LOL. But this I already knew was going to be.

Will put on the rims next week after I do an alignment and make sure it drives perfect so I don't screw up the rims.

Re: IT's TIME! Agent Orange under the knife... Merry Xmas

Sorry it's been a bit, but family, then holidays, bla bla bla. LOL

She's finally a driver. Still some things that need to be worked out: a small hesitation at low rpms, correct the transmission (shifting to early, not holding on long enough, not down shifting properly) but all of this is correctable with some programming.

Took it to a friends dyno and showed 435 at the rear wheels. So with 18% drive train correction engine is right around 540-550hp. Pretty close to what I was looking for. Have to say, this engine likes to rev. Have the limiter set at 6800. Once you get at 3k this engine just takes off. Still needs to get tuned. There are some ruff patches which I think it will work itself out once I drive it more. It only has 145 miles since finished. LOL Needs to be driven a lot for the computer to learn better.

Anyways, finally, here is a few quick pictures of the rims on.
