That looks great! I've always wondered why Chevrolet didn't do this in the first place. It looks better lined up with the top of the bed rail.

Ya I have wondered why too but we can change things .. The other thing that bugs me is how the roof line goes up hill and is higher at the front of the cab then in the back this one is not going to get it but on my 67 if I ever get to it I'm going chop the top an inch in the back and one and a half in the front. I did a 69 camaro like that to make the roof line match the rockers

The inner fender will now bolt in with the bolts going upward so they can't rub the tires Name:  image.jpg

..That is fantastic work! I had a '72 restored/built bout 6yrs ago. Although I've never seen the the lines straighten out I always thought it would good. So I asked my builder what he thought about moving that line and could he do it..
He replied NO and He!! NO..I really respect this guy and his work so I left it alone..I will show him these pics..

What are the specs on the tires and wheels? What did you do as far as the drop in the suspension? It's going to be really nice! Great job

Thanks Wade. The suspension is c4 corvette front and rear with the front being narrowed buy 2 Inches the tires are 285 30 22's front and and 285 35 22's rear I will have to get back to you on the back space but I think they are 3.5 in the rear and 4.0 frontName:  image.jpg

If you unbolt that batwing from the diff housing you can probably put a better cut on it. Those things are pretty clumsy when everything is bolted together. Make sure you show lots of pics!

Oh, check out this C4 rear end that a guy cut down for a C2 project...
