Pretty common in the midwest. Snow, ice, and dirt get trapped up there and start corroding. Usually the inner fenders are shot, too. Then it becomes really interesting driving in the rain as the spray off the tires flies throught the fender hole, up in the air, and back on your windshield.

Re: One And Done. The Porterbuilt sponsored 1959 fleetside.

at about this time in the day it was 12, so basically we were 2 hours in. my dad sponsored the food and drinks for the day and was busy on the grill feeding everyone lunch. me, terry and dave got busy with the grinders and cleaned up the frame for the install

after lunch it was go time, we will start with the front, headed by Delmo with help from Dino and a few others, half the group got to work measuring, cutting, mocking and installing the front dropmember.

here are the goodies, everything was powder coated by sm powdercoating who sponsored the event and got me everything coated in time.

Re: One And Done. The Porterbuilt sponsored 1959 fleetside.

time for everyone to take it all in, in only 8 hours we had successfully installed a complete front and read Porterbuilt dropmember.

a lot more people showed up, but this is the crew that was able to stay till the end.
the "make it thru crew"

you can get a way more detailed over view in the november and december issues of Streettrucks Magazine, thanks to these awesome dudes.
