Re: 1959 Chevy Truck

Hey Buddy!! Your build looks great, keep up the great work. I'm glad if any of the info you got from my posts helped in anyway. I know it is a hard decision to make that frame clip change. That is why I posted all the photo's as I had a hard time finding the info I needed to make "The Cut".

Glad all worked out great and it looks real sweet. Just wanted to share my thanks to you for the nice words!!
Later Buddy be Safe!

Re: 1959 Chevy Truck

Thanks for the compliments! It helped a lot!! Without your pics it would have been much harder to cut into the frame. I tore everything down as far as front suspension and found a chewed up spindle... So I am forced to buy some new front end parts... Oh darn. I just went ahead and went with drop spindles and all new bearings, brakes. Calipers, and bearings. Now that I'm at the end of my immediate budget I hope nothing major pops up in the build but im sure it will. I'm going to weld some boxing plates in and grind and clean up the frame today. Might ending up painting it if I'm lucky. I'm pressing in new ballpoints and control arm bushings tonight.

Re: 1959 Chevy Truck

Moving right along, looks good. I love getting parts painted. I can't tell in the photo, did you get the front frame rails figured out as far as rad support and bumper mount?

Not yet. I wanted to get the frame painted so I could mount the engine and get my suspension on. And put the cab on and leave it. I figure I can do a little cutting and welding on that area once I hang the inner fenders and rad support.
