Thanks so much mooseknucles.. I picked up the battery,compressor/tank mount today from the powdercoaters I droped off on Monday. I like the way it's coming out. Now to mount everything and get plumbed and wired up.

Hey, Chevy,
Looking good on the project. I run a couple of 65's that are working drivers. What was the $ and supplier for the polyeurathane carrier bearing? I'd like one that will stay around for a while, 'specially in my rramptruck. Mike OLDTRUCKHAULER Wilmington, NC |

Mike OLDTRUCKHAULER Wilmington, NC Mike I ordered a complete new 2 piece shaft with a slip joint center and urethane center bearing from inland empire drivelines out of California.. Very nice and knowledgeable people.. Came complete from trans yoke to rear end bearing.took a little over a week shipped to my door. Can't remeber the exact price but it was the 6-700 price range. U can also get just the center bearings from them if that's all u need for around the $100 range. |

Is that battery going to run just the air ride?

Re: 66 c10 big window shortbed dropmember build up.
No mikes66chevyc10, that is the battery for the whole truck. Not planning on a lot of play time for the air ride and i won't have many electronics on the truck.. Plain and simple has always been my Motto.

Re: 66 c10 big window shortbed dropmember build up.
Havent posted on here in awhile as been busy at work and the heat starting to kick in.trucks moving along slowly and stepped back and ordered a few things that wasn't planning on..
I've run all the stainless hard lines, wired 90% of the frame and engine. Brake lines are finished. And now I'm working on my exhaust. I ended up ordering a serpentine belt drive system for the vintage 283 with a/c, 140 amp alternator and powersteering pump and aluminum water pump. Nice setup and toot around 3 weeks to custom make due to the Pulleys being black coated. I also worked on the bed some getting the floor mocked up and wheel tube widened but haven't finished them yet. The project has slowed down as family and friends are a priority over metal. So it will get done just not in the speed I'd like. |

Haven't had much time to post things, still working on it but at a much slower pace. Had a lot of family issues with my parents having to move in becuase of health issues.work keeps me very busy and my son and family come first. Have to finish up mounting a/c and making air vents then the cab gets body worked and primed. Hood is worked and primed as is the complete bed assembly. Hopefully some time this year it will get painted and reassembled. doing 99.9% of this truck on my own dime and time I don't have the funds to have others work on it.

Re: 66 c10 big window shortbed dropmember build up.
I too bought a st of inner fenders from Brandon. They fit well. I think I will order his firewall shavers as well. How tough were they to install. Do they fit right over or do you have to cut out the old firewall to make them fit?

Re: 66 c10 big window shortbed dropmember build up.
@fredhlynch2..Brandon's done a little fine tuning on his inner fenders since I bought these. The firewall shavers weld on the perimeter. I used the sections as a pattern and cut the firewall 3/8" inside that. Made for a nice flat area to weld to.
