Re: Pink's 68/72 - Dropmember Equipped Build
Not much progress since my daughter was born. I was finally able to get back in the garage yesterday so I got a few small things done and a few parts ordered as well.
I picked up a set of the Hooker manifolds. I plan on doing a black Cerakote on these. I also got a new flywheel and also ordered a Circle D torque converter which should arrive in the next couple days. Bag mounts are fully welded on and I spent some time cleaning the axle tubes. You wouldn't believe how much crap was built up in there. This should be going out for blasting and powder coat in the next week or so. Also got my fuel lines ran up to the filter/regulator. I used Notchead line clamps which are pretty sweet. The lines snap in tightly but can easily be removed for maintenance. They make them for all sorts of hard and braided lines. |

I think I bought mine from Jegs but here is the website for the manufacturer so you can see all the different sizes they offer. https://www.notchead.com/ |

Re: Pink's 68/72 - Dropmember Equipped Build
I've been collecting parts and slowly making progress.
Holley serpentine belt system Circle D 3200 rpm torque converter Pulled the trigger on Fitech Ultimate LS kit Accuair CVT kit And finally sent the rear end and modified trans mount out for powder. It is currently at a driveline shop getting 373 gears and a Detroit TrueTrac I should have a rolling chassis here shortly and then I'll start on new brake lines and exhaust. |

Re: Pink's 68/72 - Dropmember Equipped Build
Rear end is bolted in and also got my new diff cover for it.
Unfortunately, I ran in to some issues when I went to install my brake kit. The axles I got had a slight lip on the flange face which interfered with the rotor centering ring. My options were to machine the rings or remove the axles and machine the lip off. I went ahead and machined the rings and now they fit perfect. I also started installing my Fitech fuel injection system. I'm really happy with he way the engine is starting to look. |

Re: Pink's 68/72 - Dropmember Equipped Build
I was only at SEMA one day this year so I'm sure I missed a bunch but here's a taste of the C-10's (plus burbs & blazers) from the show this year.

Re: Pink's 68/72 - Dropmember Equipped Build
Got the rear brakes installed, wheels mounted and finally have a rolling chassis. It's probably been 6 years since this thing was rolling around. I soaked that in for about 30 seconds and then laid it out on the ground.

Re: Pink's 68/72 - Dropmember Equipped Build
Thanks!
I got a few more things done recently. The exhaust is back with fresh black cerakote and installed on the engine. I also installed the differential cover and started making the spark plug wires. I got 4 done before my crimping tool broke so now I'm waiting on a new tool to arrive before I finish them up. |

Looks great! What front sway bar are you running with your PB dropmember?

Re: Pink's 68/72 - Dropmember Equipped Build
I'm not sure of the brand. It's the sway bar that PBFab supplies as an option for the dropmember.
