Re: The "I'm back" build thread. Long bed this time
Yes sir 8 lug. Are you keeping 8 or changing to 5/6? I have a set of conversion drop spindles for 3/4 to 1/2 ton. No need to change ball joints or steering arms. I thought I saw some spindles on your shopping spree so maybe you dont need them.

Yeah my truck is a half ton so it's still 6 lug. May convert to 5 lug but not yet.

Here are some random pics from today. Haven't done much but will be getting a welder for at home and then the real fun will begin.

Chad is doing really well Shawn. He is finishing up some home projects right now so we can get started on assembling his truck. Thanks for asking.

I am glad to hear that. I also have many house projects on the drawing board. Where does it end?

Re: The "I'm back" build thread. Long bed this time
I traded Ben Helton of Alexander Speed for a 67 he had. Look under Sammy's 67 on the forum about it. We have taken the frame apart and sanded and painted with POR15 for now. He's 3 hrs away so it is tough doing anything. Ben's truck is listed as Irvin on forum and mine was one he had started for a customer. Thanks

Re: The "I'm back" build thread. Long bed this time
Hey guys more reminder to myself and not to you guys as a motivate myself to get going on this truck and put the Camaro on the back burner for a while, but my plans are to first shorten the frame shorten the box. This will be fun for me because it's kinda what I've been doing at work for a while now is a lot of metal fab and my boss comes to me and asks me to make just the craziest things and so far been doing good and I'm I'm pretty proud of that. But now once I shorten it down I will be going to route of porterbuilt which is going to take me a little time but I can do other things until then. Anybody feel like making me a rendition my truck short and laid out?

Re: The "I'm back" build thread. Long bed this time
Shawn, this is just a quick PhotoShop of your truck shortened lowered and with 20" Racelines... I wasn't sure what direction you were going, but you know how I like shop trucks.
