Re: project orange crush 76 crewcab build
Nice work on your crew cab. Man, that is a raw deal on that rust but it looks like you're well on your way to getting it fixed. Is that your 67 Camaro in a couple of the pics?

Now why can't I find deals like that? Good job on the find. Really liking the way that thing is sitting. Gonna be sewer when it's done.

Re: project orange crush 76 crewcab build
Got the brake support bracket off finally and the rest of the upper firewall off. Time to clean up the metal and see what I have to work with. Here's a test fit of the donor piece too.

Re: project orange crush 76 crewcab build
I got the majority of the firewall cut out and ready. Still need to do some more trimming behind the cowl sections. Also completely stripped the interior only to discover a lot more rust!!!

Re: project orange crush 76 crewcab build
I picked up a blue and white tailgate in the color scheme im going to paint the truck and a set of nicer lowback buckets and a better console too. Also thinking about switching all the 80s door panels out for 77-80 style since they'll match the blowback buckets and console better

Man, I need a spreadsheet to keep track of what all you're working on. Like how the crew cab is coming together. Keep at it. In paint it's gonna be killer.

Finally got it all welded up and ground smooth. You can see the overlap on the inside I'm pretty happy with it.

Re: project orange crush 76 crewcab build
Here's the rest of panels I need to install. Here's a pic of my hood I stripped and primed last year with u pol dtm primer we'll that stuff was a waste of time and money. I noticed a crack, bubble in the hood the other day and was shocked at the flash rust underneath. Glad I only used that primer on the hood and tailgate they'll have to be stripped and redone again! And here's some super Cheyenne emblems I picked up that I'm thinking about using now instead of the Scottsdale emblems.

I bodyworked the weld seam and got it in epoxy primer then I sprayed the rest in weld thru primer. Got the upper firewall ready to weld on today and will be welding on the brake support here soon.
