Re: Building a '49 for myself
The seat sides that unbolt will also be wrapped, and the seat frame will be painted. Not sure white or red though. Since the seat is stationary and doesn't fold forward, the area behind the seat didn't get much attention but I still wanted it to look finished if the seat every came out.

Re: Building a '49 for myself
I'm also making some shirts for mine and the C10 I'm building for this years SEMA show. My truck will be located in the North Hall in the ChemSpec/ Metalux booth. The C10 will be an outside feature vehicle. If you'd like to get a shirt, shoot me an email... tre5customs@gmail.com

Re: Building a '49 for myself
Interior is looking good, pictures show different than the real thing. Is that an Oxblood color or what? Jim

I think maybe... horse-cart edit for the less obvious joke: that means if you watch streettrucksmag.com, you would see this is an in house feature named "cindy" to give tech articles to the mag. horse-cart means the sema writeup was probably planned from the beginning, not the other way around. still staggeringly gorgeous. tip your waiters.

Re: Building a '49 for myself
Yeah, I actually write for Street Trucks magazine. There have been several articles published on this build already and a few more to come. I actually wrote the text for this truck and the 2 others I have going to SEMA this year. One is the orange and white C10 (that I posted in the 73-87 page) and the other is a 2014 Chevy Silverado that I did a bunch of work on. It's funny because people say "check out the love StreetTrucks gave you in this issue", not knowing that I actually wrote it, lol.

Re: Building a '49 for myself
A couple finishing touches happening before loading up for SEMA at the end of next week.
CGS Hydrodipping made the glove box and center of the dash look like wood grain to match the bed wood. I had to enhance the photo so you could actually see the wood grain. It is actually darker in person. I made an aluminum gas door for the bed floor as well.

Very nice details. Will you be displaying the trucks in your own booth at SEMA?

Re: Building a '49 for myself
Top notch build. The fit and finish is very impressive considering the pace that this build is progressing at.
Nice work Marc
