My winter project

I rounded up some straight down exhaust manifolds. I could use some help from you guys with stock AC. I have the brackets, compressor and some bolts but not sure of right placement.

I finely got the AC brackets in the right place and now ready for start up and break in, just a little fuel and hope all is good.

I may have to rename the thread to (My many winters project) I'm getting things done slowly and a lot of boring stuff but I've found out that the phrase rebuilt means....do-over.

I now have the needed puzzle pieces to start floor and body repair stuff. This will be a challenge for me.

Go slow, take pictures, ask questions, etc. Many have been down this road before and have made pretty good progress.

It can all be fixed.

Just a little progress but no welding. I have trimmed and fitted, trimmed and fitted again, put the door on and then take the door off. This takes a lot of time. I plan to start welding soon.

I agree! if can make past the "B" post ,you've got it made. they're like like pcs. at that on intersection. I actually added one more for additional support

I took the guts out of my door, it was getting to heavy, for the amount of times I took it off and on

Thanks for the pic inside 'B' post, didn't cut mine open that far. worried something rusty was goin' to stare back at me. bottom of 'b' post is one of the most complex parts of the blazer

I'm working on the outer B panel patches and I have some questions if anyone has replaced these, should there be a flang or tab on the bottom panel to attach the panel to the end of the rocker box.

Here's a couple of pictures of how it should be. The b pillar area on this Blazer is original & unrestored . They are just a tab that is spot welded on.

Small update. I have the outer rockers and B pillar patches alined with the fenders and doors and ready to weld. My doors need work, do you think door patch panels or complete door skin?

I decided to repair my doors with lower skins and made some inside B Piller repairs. oh, make sure you have your door seals on before adjusting door gaps.
it will save time. I should have know that I read it here.

The B pillars are welded in and the outer rockers are tacked for panel alinement. I did run into this problem after I got things alined, the top of both doors leaning out. I'm wondering about these welds, should I grind them off and reweld them in the right position?

The Exhaust manifold on the driver side I think is for a 2 WD ,4WD goes straight down.

Yes, you are correct on the manifolds, the straight down on that side turned out to be cracked and had to use the other one to get the motor brake-in done.
