Very nice work! I laughed pretty good at, "I'm not a spray paint kind of redneck!". Some of us still are. It's looking really nice. I love that medium bronze!

Re: My last hoorah...1972 K20 Cheyenne Super frame off
Thanks Joe
If anyone needs parts bear in mind a lot of things are on backorder... hopefully have my tailgate band and super emblems next week.,.I bought a new AMD floor since mine was dinged up and had a few waves.nothing worse than a restored truck with dings and waves in the bed covered with bed liner spray IMO.THANKS FOR ALL THE KIND WORDS |

The floor wasn't bad on an unrestored truck, but it was on a restored truck.

Re: My last hoorah...1972 K20 Cheyenne Super frame off
Looks awesome! I know how it feels to get it back. Same colors mine was originally. I did think about retaining the colors but as much as I like it still do not regret the color change on my truck in remembrance of my dad.

Re: My last hoorah...1972 K20 Cheyenne Super frame off
I’d go factory step if that’s how it came. I have a sport bumper on my blue truck and I wish I had a step to make it easier to climb in the bed

Damn you’ve done fine work! It’s looking really nice. Now for the million dollar question… now that it’s almost done… is this one truly your last hoorah?

Well I've hit a wall.....my painter had a stroke and is not doing good..I refuse to be an ass and hound him about painting my bed so hopefully he recovers and can get it done in the next little bit..

Re: My last hoorah...1972 K20 Cheyenne Super frame off
I'm sorry to hear about your painter. Maybe he will recover fully.
If my painter keeps going at the rate he's going he is going to have a stroke. He has a large shop but he's been doing my stuff himself, and now he's working nights on our motorhome. Doing some touch-up on it. He can't keep this work schedule up for ever.

Re: My last hoorah...1972 K20 Cheyenne Super frame off
Painter is doing good and back on my bed..it's apart since I bought a new floor, front panel and one bedside .. everything else was good and truthfully floor and front panel wasn't that bad
But I wanted the inside of bed to be perfect also. I'm making baby steps daily getting it back together. |
