Re: Something different thread
Being a 34 year senior telco tech, I do appreciate the advances over the years on trucks. I drive an aerial lift nowadays. Beats the old rickety wood ladders of yore.
Very kool pic.

Re: Something different thread
I remember when my dad was with the Alameda County (CA ) Sheriff's Department they had a few of those square body trucks as Civil Defense rescue trucks. Suprised to see one today.

Re: Something different thread
When you mention 'civil defense', reminds me of the the old phone company that was designated for that government title, including the green steel hard hats with the C/D triangle on them that were worn during the ' duck and cover' tests. Wish I could find one of those now.

Re: Something different thread
A friend of mine on IG recently bought this sweet time capsule. It is currently being upgraded with an LS drivetrain as well as larger rims and other chassis and air suspension upgrades.
This thing is so cool (IMO). He said everything in the camper works. It also have a small built in fridge that I did not include a picture of. Thanks Marc

Re: Something different thread
Love that phone truck! I just love "working cars and trucks" so much. If I could own a collection that would be high on my list. Police cars, ambulances, tow trucks, damn that would be cool!

Re: Something different thread
Not because it's a Ford. I actually like the '48-'50 F1's pretty well. The '51-'52 F1's less but this person has a lot of talent but very little taste in my opinion.
He should have known when to "lift the brush" a lot earlier than he did.

Re: Something different thread
Got a recent 'antiquated acquisition' from work.
Thought of the AD Bell truck. This is going to be incorporated into the 'Rust-mod' project.
