Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck
Id like to find a budget minded "kit" to do something like this. I dont need a truck to be a world beater performance wise. And I dont need to get 400 miles on a charge. But I do think 200 would be nice because some of the places I go to see family etc would be close to 200 miles round trip. Would be nice not to worry about charging stops.
I know GM is working on having a kit but that would hardly be budget minded. Im not smart enough to do all the engineering you are doing. But I can mount stuff up, make brackets, run wire, that kind of thing. I hope you get it on the road soon as your lazyjaitus clears up. Fun watching your build and twisted sense of humor.

been a long harsh winter here in Northern California, temperatures plummeted well below 70° F and I aint one for wrenchin in my winter shorts The plan is to pick it up again next month aka March Madness Part II in the meantime The Greg has gone on winter hiatus in the past so he would like to distract you with his prior project here: A '54 named Busty - LS Swap !!! if that build is what brought your loyal butt here in the first place you can geek out on the following DIY Electric Car forum: 1971 GMCe Lexus GS450H BMW 530e Tesla Model S powered Electruck and see if you can spot the guy who loves to give me craapp for no reason those of you who rather sit back and watch some videos and catch up that way, there is the Good Enuff Garage You Tube channel guaranteed to cure your insomnia if I wasn't in my lazy season I might could post some actual related play lists but these hot wings aint gonna eat themselves so honestly thank you so much for following along we will be back, bad jokes and even worse craftsmanship I promise Last edited by Gregski; 02-23-2023 at 04:39 PM. |

I am looking forward to your electric truck updates. Missed seeing them but I knew you would be back sometime so I just waited and waited and waited. Now a teaser video. I will still wait for you.

decided to take a step back and try bleeding the brakes with a brand new manual disc/drum master cylinder to ensure we get a firm steady sturdy brake pedal response, then we will regroup and maybe try the iBooster again |

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck
not yet, thank you for asking, first we have to stroll together through adapter, reducer, inverter flare fitting hell
I think the OEM master cylinder runs 1/4 brake lines and my Wilwood proportioning valve wants 3/16 so I had to order some fittings accordingly, and of course NAPA closed at 5 pm on Sunday although their sign on the door says 7 pm and Oh'Really and AutoZone were completely useless |

I swear I can now make brake lines in my sleep, sometimes I even put both fittings on them!
