Re: GM Semis
A 58, two 59's and three 60's.
We had a some hardwood logs that big in the Kaskaskia river bottoms in Illinois, in the late sixties. Our old trucks were binders and Macks. My dad went down and priced a new twin screw, 427 powered Chevy, but the contract was almost complete and he went back to building houses.

Re: GM Semis
That '60 in the middle is carrying a wild load. I wonder if it was just for "show".
Pretty cool picture though.

Re: GM Semis
The '60s have the IFS yet. Remember my pop saying they pulled it all out of the school buses, to expensive to rebuild.

Re: GM Semis
A '58, two '59s, and three '60s equals seven, right?
That is a crazy load on the center truck that didn't get counted. So true, mostly smaller logs/bigger trucks now. Torsion bar in medium duty didn't fly it seems. I wonder if the older trucks are Dark Green and the later ones Medium Green. That's my bet.

Somewhere between a '73 and a '77 9500, but I wish it had a better shot of the Grab Handle, lol.

Re: GM Semis
This 9500 is a 71. It has dual headlights. I sure wish I had bought it when I had a chance. 671 with a 13 speed for $7,500.

Re: GM Semis
I see truck prices taking off now. You couldn't get much back out of them till more recently. That one is gorgeous. I had known of this one I ab-so-lute-ly love in CA, then it went up for sale at my worst time for money...for $7,500 also!!

Re: GM Semis
Of all the 9500's that we have shown here on the boards that truck above is definitely one of the nicest ones of the bunch. The price of $7500 was a steal.

Re: GM Semis
For any body that's been paying attention to my stuff, I would need a red one.
Although, That green one would be hard to pass up.
