Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)
Thanks Keith! There are some many color options to choose from, it's been hard for me to decide what I like better, .
I'm about done wiring up the cruise control. What a pain in the butt to have to use 2 relays to make the Dakota Digital switch (HND-3) work with the DBW setup, . (write up by here ACKATTACK: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...se+control+db2) On a more positive note, I talked to my contact at Dakota Digital about the problem using the switch, so look for a new switch in the future that you won't have to add relays to in order for it to work properly, . I also got most of the plumbing done on the shop. Getting closer to sheetrock time!!!!

Got the tilt steering column installed for hopefully the last time. I also made a bracket to hook up an E-Brake switch. I wired the switch to the gauge cluster warning light that will notify me when/if I leave the emergency brake on, . Here's the thread on how to do the E-Brake switch setup: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=425922

Devil is always in the details.. Amazing how long that list is, and how much each little item can take.
You are getting there Rob, no doubt about it.. Good inspiration for the rest of us to push to the end!

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)
I'm right there with you guys. I told my wife that maybe the next truck would be a stock resto. But I can't stand the thought of stock and plain. Keep at it Rob. Those small things that don't look like much are the keys to getting the final touches in order. Too bad there are always so many to do.

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)
Nice, glad that went well. Damn these trucks look good with the roof racks. I've always liked the look of nice and clean and smooth with no moldings, roof racks or emblems, but these trucks change the way I have thought about things in the past. I wish I could get my hands on a nice original roof rack. Any more up close pics of the rack itself? I have a friend who has a CNC table and has been cutting a good amount of custom metal pieces lately, maybe he can remake it?

That's a great feeling. The worst feeling is when you keep finding leaks during that process. Been there.

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)
Thanks guys! Not much progress on the Suburban this week as I've been trying to get my shop finished up. Insulation and sheet rocking should by done by the end of the week, finish the trim this weekend, then paint everything this Monday.....
