Re: How about some pics of 47-59
On fathers day I dug out my Cameo (that has been sitting while other projects get worked on) and took some pics of it with my Wagon

What paint did you use on your frame? It looks really nice.

Cool rides ToonMan, very nice pair. I wish, I wish, ...no didn't work. Thought they may be in my driveway.

The prep took me several days, but I was too cheap to have it sandblasted. Took it down to bare metal with knotted wire cups on a 4 inch grinder. Kept soaking it down with WD40 just to see if it would help break up the surface rust. It seemed to help quite a bit (wear coveralls, it gets you really messy) plus kept the dust down. The only place I couldn't get to with the knotted wire cups was around the rear cross member on the inside of the frame. I used some rust converter there, not sure of the brand. It shined up nice but it took me a total of about 20 hours. I bathed it in laquer thinner before priming. [IMG][/IMG] I'm sure sandblasting would have netted me better longer lasting results but I’m working with a tight budget.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
I started a build thread last night. I am not a big fan of flat chops on these either, but saw one with an angle chop years ago and liked the extra attitude it had. Here is a better shot of the new roof line.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
My 55' GMC I rescued after a 30 year nap under that pine tree! Haven't worked on it much lately but hope to get back on it soon! Plan is to go black and make it look somewhat stock but its still a hot rod, got a nice 283 under the hood that I'm putting 3 deuces on.
