30 pages down and 30 to go. Great work on the chassis. I'm to the point where you're on the 14th cab I believe

Thanks Steve. I like it too, I wish it was just a little bit more shiny but I think it will work better than trying to match clear coats with a flattening agent.

Thanks Keith. I purchased directly from Rubber Seal. LINK, they put me in touch with their regional sales rep. Price for me was kinda high at $54 and some change for a quart of black, catalyst and delivery. I think on my next project, I'll just buy a gallon. I'm going to order another quart to finish the inner fenders and under side of the hood. It ended up being cheaper than flattener, base coat, and clear coat. Plus it's single stage and no matching.Win/ win

I got caught up this morning and truly impressive is all I can say. I wish I had some of the skills you have. Seeing your chassis has been a bad influence. I'll be picking up a bare frame in the near future for either a future project or redo mine the right way like yours

Thanks again for the compliments. I appreciate it. I did my chassis on the cheap as far as paint and blasting. The blaster I used, sucked (no pun) to say the least. It was a suction type, constantly had clogs and hang ups. I've been using member Crash_Ok's pressure pot style the last year or so. (Thanks Mark). It works 10 times better. As for the paint it was super cheap rustoleum. Basically, if I had it to do over again, I would do it different. Live and learn. I can't wait to drive mine, like you can yours, one of these days.

No problem. I looked all over for another place to buy it too. No luck. After I priced the basecoat, clear and flattening agent it seems to be a better deal.

I wanted to use ls1 fans but still haven't made my mind up on what I'll do it. The bracket you built looks nice. Can't wait to see it installed

Thanks. Yeah the top was good to go, the bottom, I used some 1/4" sheet metal screws to secure it to the radiator support. I will add some rubber to isolate when I do final install.

What's the name of that primer? It looks like the stuff they used on the Powerblock TV show, Musclecar. I like the look of your progress. Keep it up.

It's Z-chrome rust defender. LINK It's a sprayable polyester. It builds really good and sands good too. It's kind of expensive though. around $100 a gallon and it doesn't go very far either. I started using it on the bed so, I'm kinda stuck with using it for the rest of it now. I've already used 3 gallons
