Re: "Rice Rocket'
Wanna pull the motor and put some new gaskets on do a cam swap
save up for axles/new rearend build my 'junk 373 5 lug coil rearend look for nice cab do small things that count: rusty batt. tray lower fender tip antenna/speakers find some nice doors and install those (non rusted maybe?) Oh, heres a question for my viewers. Where the wires plug into the headlights on the pass side, I have a bad connection sometimes it works sometimes its very dim. I can wiggle them or hit a big bump and they come on/off. I dis connected them during the realy upgrade and cleaned the contacts and they've never been the same. What can I do?

Re: "Rice Rocket'
Oh and before the FL trip I got my rear brake line hooked back up. Stops alot better (Had a load in the bed with my jeep springs and it was so bottomed out it pinched the metal line running along the axle)

Re: "Rice Rocket'
Yeah, I gotta hazard switch from a member on the way.
I have a video, my brakes still slightly hang. I wanna get that fixed. I washed the truck today and hooked up my temp guage under the dash I just think its a bad connection at the plug behind the bulb.

Re: "Rice Rocket'
I drive a old truck. I dont need no stinkin' spares.
No, I dont even bother carrying one at all. I will one day when I get all the same bolt pattern. I guess I could get some 6 lug rotors...?

Heres the video of my front wheels. Does it seem like they are dragging? I only have about 25000 miles on the truck since I bought it (droev it awhile before I went disc). Im on my 2nd pair of rotors and these ones are grooved really bad.

Re: "Rice Rocket'
looks like your calipers are dragging....and my front and rear have the same bolt pattern...and I still don't have a spare
when I buy a pair of 10" rallys and 315/50-15 M.T. ET Street radials for the rear... I'll have 2 spares.

Re: "Rice Rocket'
So I'm jumping in here without reading back for more info. What I am seeing is that 1) you are having an issue with your front brakes dragging, 2) you have converted to discs in the front, and 3) you have been having this problem.
Are you still running the 68 master cylinder? the master cylinder for drum brakes has a check valve in it to prevent bleed-back. For disc brakes this check valve must be removed to allow the caliper pistons to fully retract. If you have not done so yet, swapping to a 70+ MC, or removing the front brake check valve may correct your problem. Again, I'm just telling you all this because I am to busy to read back and see what all is involved in your brake swap. Good luck! Hope this helps!

Re: "Rice Rocket'
good points! braking systems have to be just that.....a complete system, engineered to work together.
my only other thought would have to be the wheel bearings are too tight?

Re: "Rice Rocket'
K. I just saw your video of your wheel. It does kinda look like your wheel bearings are too tight, not your brakes dragging. But if you are still skeptical about your brakes dragging, maybe you have a warped rotor? Even new ones are not perfect (I have a set on my Yukon now I just want to chuck at someone!) take some spray paint and put a light guide coat on the rotors and spin them. See if it wears off evenly.
definitely redo your wheel bearing torque. See if your wheel seal is leaking. Use synthetic grease.

Re: "Rice Rocket'
is it a single groove in them? If so, that's correct...if not and irregular grooves...that could be causing the rotors to bind....

Re: "Rice Rocket'
Its multiple grooves.
Ive helped make it better by bleeding, bleeding bleeding. And a new MC helped alot too?
