Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
I love the way your engine looks I dont think this truck need's LS. But a thumbs up on the leather, I'm thinking Ostrich outlines . But first under the hood I think it needs some sheetmetal to clean up the gap between the top of the grill and the radiater support.I think this would really set the new hinges off.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
things that I am considering at this moment
* Re upholster the seat in black leather * Redo the door panels * Replace the bed wheel inner tubs (Mine have dents on them) * Billet inner door handles, vent window handles and crank handles *Radiator filler panels (Not really sure about this one I dont know if I really like them yet) *Smoot front chrome bumper (Waiting for the rear one to be available as it does not seem it is) then replace both.[/QUOTE] WEll I'm glad you didnt let her go. I think your list is pretty solid. how is your stereo system? maybe up grade there? I say enjoy and add things as you see fit, take a road trip out to AZ for Dinos party! |

The stereo is nothing more than a radio and two speakers. being that I still have the gas tank inside the cab I am limited to what I could add in there plus i have all the electronice for the air ride controller under the seat. thanks for the suggestions........

I would love to do an upgrade like that, but its a lot of work and just easier to jump in and drive it as is. It works fine!!

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Al, just let me adjust the shifter for you!
I think a radiator filler panel with the billett mounts I already mentioned would be nice. Get a plain one and have it custom engraved! Maybe Big Al in a bowtie?? |

Been searching for a while but not luck. The one that Rene just got would fit the bill perfect. Keep your eyes on the lookout for me guys. Agreed that definetly a 67-68 would fit the bill perfect.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
I know where a 68 cst, swb fleet is sitting right now. Dark blue / white.
An old man has it and refuses to sell. It has about 4-5ft high weeds around it. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Seriously.. Sylvester is perfect. Id leave it be.
Someone actually stole this 68 from the guy's yard a while back. He managed to get it back, so to keep it from happening again he took both back wheels off of it. Posted via Mobile Device

I am also looking for an 88-98 swb reg cab those are a bit easier to find and I have had several of them. at the moment I am just fishing out for something new. I agree that sylvester is finished and I should just let it be and do the little things here and there and call it done.

Not Chad, and it's not photochopped--more like photo-hacked, but should give you an idea. I say do it!
