Eric I'd buy a shirt or two, especially if you are gonna donate the proceeds!

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

That would be awsome I will just need to make sure I dont have to set up a non profit to do that. I think it would be great to donate the money for cancer research. I thought I would set up a smaal stand at the shows and sell them. I will have to talk to Tony because he does this for a living

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

And thank you for the reality check on the pricing....I'm sure many on this board have no clue how much it costs to do a build like this.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

I have pinched every penny I can as I do with all of my builds. I will be at least 60-70000 into the truck. This does not count my labor which as we all know it is not free. I have almost ran out of money. The motor and trans is what killed me.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

I got most of the seat base built last night. I put the new billet specialties steering wheel in from there flat out series. I personally love it. Just need to have it wrapped. The wiring loom is also around 95 percent finished. I put a v band clamp on it so I can get it in and out of the truck easier. I think it came out good. I am going to get a tig and learn to weld that way. I know the mig has its place but the tig weld is so much nicer. I figure with my hand and I coordination I could learn so that is the next think I will buy for the shop.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Sorry man, but I had to laugh when I saw all the wiring coiled up in the passenger floorboard. It sure if fun sorting all that out, isn't it? The wiring loom did turn out nice, another example of improvising and making lemonade. It's amazing to me how you can do all this, run a business, and keep the family from feeling like orphans.

Love it, bro!

The truck is coming together quite nicely and looks amazing! What is the thought behind the gas filler door in the bedside?

Derek I would like to give you a huge thank you from all of us involved with Tootsie. It is because of vendors like Precision parts that this truck will be top notch. I have used your guys weatherstripping in my trucks before and it is the best weatherstripping money can buy. I will post the parts on facebook and the board when we receive them. Thank you Eric Steinbrecher
