Re: PO has me PO'd
Hmmmm.... Something ain't right !! You sure that's not a Bronco hood ??[/QUOT
His web site claims 68-72, and we all know that the break is 67, 68 and 69-72, there in lays the problem. I have a 68 front end Guess I'll start looking for a 70 front end or do some fiberglass work fit and gaps are great along the sides and back, have drop off my cowl panel to be painted to be sure it fits well on the back

once I put the cowl vent cover, I could see that it had to slide back. wondering if a different year fender might work better

Re: PO has me PO'd
Jim,
That looks like a good deal if he still has them. you probably should hold off coming down this way until you make sure about those. I think i read that your 68 core support will work with the 69-72 fenders and hood but you have to add the 69 up headlight mounting brackets to your support. 67/8 headlights attached direct to the support. If he wants $200 for all of it I would snag the support as well if you dont already have the headlight buckets. Richard

Re: PO has me PO'd
Richard, thanks for the info. of the swap. My only concern was being sand blasted, we all have heard the horror stories of warped panels

Re: PO has me PO'd
Sherwin-Williams version of the anniversary gold, spray out, think I am headed in this direction. will have to replace my 68 front end with a 70-72.
both green and gold have a metallic finish, cowl should be finished when I return from my fishing trip 20170225_110214

Re: PO has me PO'd
Not quite, decided to get a set off of Wes, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet, and say "Honey, I need another set of fenders", and she'll say "you just bought that set" and I'll say" you know that new kitchen I just put in, and the leather sofa and new dining room set, we just bought"....
well we'll see where this goes, probably not well for me

Re: PO has me PO'd
seems like we all have had that conversation at some point .....if the fenders are as good as they look in the pics this is no coincidence that they are 15 minutes up the road and priced right... grab the core support too ... your 67-68 stuff is worth more than what your paying for the 69-72 stuff if i didn't have another 68 nose in stock id make you whole ...heck your grill is worth at least 150. ill shut up now, I gave more than my 2 cents good luck on negotiations

Re: PO has me PO'd
Picked up my cowl panel from the paint shop
20170304_111242 working on the top bar off of a GMC, might work yet, without buying fenders. Having a problem with my hood to cowl seal, mine is formed with a 90 degree bend and pushes up on the hood, seems like I need a seal that is formed with a 60 degree bend, after market is not always what they are cracked up to be, search continues 20170302_124457

Re: PO has me PO'd
My seal was like that also, but the hood actually will push the seal over because the hood comes down at a rearward angle. I would fit the hood then install the seal.

Re: PO has me PO'd
That front clip looks good, I like the rock guards as well...one of those things that might not get noticed by many folks but really sets the front end apart.
