Re: How about some pics of 47-59
I'm going to attempt to post pics of my other two. My 1952 3100 deluxe and my 1952 Suburban. The truck is all original, except for paint and has 6 volt, bias plies and a smokin" 216! The 'burb is mostly complete, has very little rust and is currently getting a 3" drop axle and disc brakes along with a T-5 and new rearend to back up it's '58 235. *For some reason, I cannot get the dang picture of the the burb to load in right! Just tilt your heads and squint a little!

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
coffeeman, awesome looking trucks man. I'd kill for that burb. You should def start a thread for it. I got a 58 235 with t-5 as well, how ironic. Hey if you need an adapter for your t-5, my buddy makes them. check out http://www.vintagemetalworks.blogspo...ter-plate.html

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Well, we had to make a hard decision and sold the '52....not to happy with the decision but need the money more than the truck...
Hopefully when the time comes we'll be able to find another one. Nick Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Thanks 99 to life, it is a really good truck we spent quite a bit of time looking for the "right" truck and actually ended up finding this one by accident. But it's ok we held out for the right buyer and te new owner already has great plans for it. And we'll keep our eyes out for another one and with in a year or two we'll own another AD.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
The Silverado is my Daily Driver, the GMC doesn't have a motor. I would have loved to fix it up but it just isn't the right time, we've had the truck for 4yrs now and just haven't had the time to even start on it.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
New guy on the block. Usually work on Scouts, but I thought I would give this a try. Nothing fancy or high $$$. Just a working truck.
April/May 2012. Good price and good shape. 1948 GMC 3/4 ton Had this for about a year before buying the "Great Mountain Climber' Trial fit. Built the lifting crane for this project. It's super tall, which has come in handy. As of a couple weeks ago. Cheap Tractor Supply paint. IHC red. Typical 350 SBC with truck 400 tranny & 4.10 rear. Have all the seals, rubbers, glass, door stuff, electric wipers & after market heater/defroster Going with a hydro-boost brake system Thanks for looking. Any suggestions/critiques welcome. |

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Can't say that we know each other. I post up on Binder Planet & BinderBench some. Not so much anymore tho. I read the International thread on Pirate, but don't post. Their equipment is more hardcore than I care to get into. But great info! Use to be on OldIHC, but quit. Too many probs with site and not enough Scouts. But, I seem to remember an 'Ole sarge' on another site. Can't remember which one. That be you? Thanks for looking.
