Doug, I saw on instagram where someone shortened the snout of a Holley intake like yours and thought of your problem. Here's a link. https://www.instagram.com/p/Btpr3xsA..._web_copy_link

Re: 48 Burb, bagged, 5.3, 20 year wait

Friends,

Apologies for my absence for a long while! All is good. I’ve been up to a number of various life activities and the Burb glares at me every time I am in the shop. Those are caught up, so this one becomes a priority again and will be back in the build area soon.

It was good to see some board member friends today too at the C10 Nationals at the Nashville Super speedway. Thanks for the heads up and invite Larry.

Re: 48 Burb, bagged, 5.3, 20 year wait

Thanks guys! I stumbled into a couple things needing done on other vehicles so I am knocking those out to get to the Burb…..I am focused on 3rd place in the Burb build off.

Been a busy few years getting back here. Retired, remarried, built a new house in the pasture closer to shop, turning said pasture into a decent looking property…and on…and on.

Anyhow, thanks Youngrodder I appreciate that!

Re: 48 Burb, bagged, 5.3, 20 year wait

Thanks guys! While I don’t want to turn this into a 77 Blazer thread, the frame is almost ready for powder coating. The body is amazingly clean, parts are showing up quickly and the 6.0 has been cammed up. Having fun!

Doug, how are you doing here?

It looks like all the members from a while back has gone a bit quite (including me…)
I try to catch up a bit with the builds ;-)

Just subscribed to your Blazer build and follow that too!

Hi Kees!

I am good. And too focused on other projects around here…Grandson car, property and equipment maintenance, other vehicle “stuff” and before you know it another year has gone by.

Love your 57 Wagon!

If you come for HRPT, you still have a place here or a ride with us.

Yes, your absolutely right! Time goes faster then blinking your eyes
I saw on fb your grandson’s Camaro is delivered at your place, hope the “damage” is not too much.
My 57 is at my buddies place, clubmate, original from the UK, he’s doing the upholstery of the wagon, and I’m doing some modifications on his 41 Ford Pickup. Have to do the rearsuspension and try to tune the three Stromberg 97 carbs on his 283 sbc. That’s not so easy…
Maybe, when funds allow, Peggy and I come over and do the Powertour with you, I would love that!!
