I was wondering how long it would take you GMC guys, that has done eyebrows to chime in. Yes, truly a PITA

Looking good! Dang, I love the look of those LT1 intakes. Seems like you're buttoning up lots of loose ends.

yeah, just trying to get it ready for the 2nd street speed, he's doing the harness, big burden off my back!!!!

Always liked the look of the TPI, but if the FI works, I'll change it out for a englese or hilabrandt

Bill, thanks for bringing that up, I've been on the fence with that one. And, you're right, doesn't quite fit the direction I want to go. Good thing I didn't buy that NOS set that is available

Maybe, I should have built an Amphicar
Well, back to work on the throttle bracket, weird, my kick down cable only moves 3/4" and my throttle cable moves 2"

my ashtray kept falling out due to the plastic rails broken, went to my spare center section I bought years ago, and it had good rails. 4 Phillip screws later, all excess able from the front bottom, and my ashtray doesn't fall out any more.

it is easier if the radio is removed

[url=https://flic.kr/p/TE8NYj]

you can see the threads of the two screws on the left side of the bracket (top and bottom)

Maybe Wes will see this and will work for his next project

some of the handy work of the PO, some people shouldn't have access to tools, but luckily the mounting buckets cover 2/3 of the hole

My Jimmy has the same plastic guides. I wish they had stayed with the old ball bearing style.

I agree with you Tom

[url=https://flic.kr/p/UmGGny]20170502_09461

I have to build a kick down cable adapter,and figure out how to hook it up, then on to the cruise control

[url=https://flic.kr/p/UmGBTo]

put the last plug in the cooling system, time to fire up the electric w/p. Thick I forget gaskets on the w/p

sorry J for not posting up, seems I myself have been the project of late. Between my vascular surgeon, and my cardiologist, I've needed a complete rebuild... should be good to go, as I've had my surgeries done yesterday! A couple days recovery and should be back at it

Ya never know which way a project will progress, but I haven't given up yet. Hopefully, I'll have something to report in the next week or so

Thanks Richard for the well wishes, been quite boring around here, going from the TV, to reading books on either the front porch or the back porch, where ever the sun was coolest. But I am current, on all the authors I read.LOL

Today was a success, as I weed whacked most of the yard, which was great as I had NO pain in my legs, maybe even able to cut the grass

3-4 months of sitting on my arse, has gotten quite old

Sorry, no surprises here Bill, paint is the last on my list. I'll drop off a fender or door off at Maaco at a time and call it good, my cowl came out really nice

I'd really like to fire the motor up, but still have some connections to make

thanks Richard, but I may have spoken to soon. Talked to a couple more knowledgeable people the other day, and found out that the fast dual sync distri. is the hard way to go! EFI Connections out of Erie Pa. set me up with a aluminum timing chain cover with an internal crank trigger and 4 pole reluctor ring. Also, a distri. with a built in cam sensor. There is a OEM one year only distri., but I don't feel like sourcing that out.

My installer quoted me a price of 1500- 2500 to wire this animal up, and dyno time to get it running right.

Parts should be in, in a couple weeks. In the meantime, I get to tear the front of my engine apart one more time. Thank goodness I have that cross member that my son and I had modified from DIY4x4, makes it much easier to drop the pan

Anyone want to buy a Cloyes timing cover with cam button? I'll be posting it soon in the classified section

Thanks for watching, this beast may work soon
