Incredible job on the kitchen Alan, I will have to agree with the rest of the posters on here, what else can you do perfect? Thanks for the part numbers on the fittings, I am adding it to my list of future projects

Thanks, I'm not perfect by no means. On the PS hoses Bill and Joe had some great info too share about the fitting in the metric pump will unscrew then you could use a standard fitting.

Re: My 1965 build thread
198plus donated this too my build. I plan on painting it the same color as the roof. Thanks again 198. I don't think there is a dent on it.

Re: My 1965 build thread
Nice score Allan. I want to paint it, but get it sandblasted first. I plan on painting the top half of the truck Corvette Torch Red, and the bottom half black separated by a silver stripping. I was thinking of silver for the grill. What do you think?

Re: My 1965 build thread
Allan you might want to check this out if you don't like the price of granite. With your skills I'm sure you could do it yourself.www.buddyrhodes.com/ The pressed finish looks kind like granite. Black with white grout would look cool.

Re: My 1965 build thread
Alan, I did a concrete counter in my old house. It was my first time and I picked the hardest possible way to do it (in place). It came out pretty good, and everyone that came by loved it. I think it cost under a couple hundred bucks to do. The worst was grinding it in the kitchen. That dust went everywhere. Next time I will build a mold and do it outside.

Re: My 1965 build thread
The form is the way to go. I did my bath room. It was my first time too. I did the loose fill but if I did it again I would'nt pack it so tight, leave more voids it would have looked better. For the price $100 compaired to $600 for granite I was happy. I would do it again. Ya I hear ya on the mess part. I did mine in my garage next to my truck. It still has the spatter on it. It won't come off. My thinking is it will help hold the rust together.

I would have to cook a lot of bacon to cover up the paint smell.

Re: My 1965 build thread
Ya'll miss me yet?.....................................Like a mother-in -law when she is far, far away.
Just to let ya'll know I'll be on vacation (staycation) this week. Not really going anywhere can't afford too. One thing is for certain I will not be in the shop or near a computer. So if anyone PM's me you will now know why I'm not answering.
