I don't think I have a lot of hope locally for one better than what I have.
Maybe post up a want to buy in the for sale section. Somebody will definitely have one. Thanks for the info on the body shop your using, I think I'm going to check into them and get a estimate.

Awesome Chris, I can't wait to see some full size pics of your truck sitting outside shining in the sun. She is a beautiful truck.

Thanks guys, slowly but surely it's getting there. Got some more parts in today, Fesler polished billet tail lights, they are purdy I'm stocking away everything until I need it, after we get our tax money back I'll be purchasing the last of my big ticket items like a new bed kit, Accuair and new foam and covers from truck seats for my buddy buckets
Dig the new tail lights! BTW what is tax money back?

Looking good Keith. I'm still debating on getting new bedsides now or rocking my crappy ones for this year until I get some other things straightened out. But the bed floor and everything tends to hinge on the bedsides. So I am at a crossroads. I guess go big or go home huh?

Yeah at this point why not, what's an extra $1000 or $2000 in my case since I need a whole bed. Are you running a wood or steel floor. I'm going to be running a wood floor in mine.

Great looking parts you've gotten lately. Good idea on the bed I think you'll be happy with new. And can't go wrong with the wood

Thanks, I had my fill of fixing rust after the cab and doors. I just don't have the patience for it. I would much rather deal with new parts, plus everybody I talk to says how good the beds fit.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

Keith, the only thing I've ran into with the SoKy bed is the tailgate rubs the rear of the bed floor when you open and close it. We are going to slot the hinges a little to gain some clearance. Just a little room will keep from skinning the paint when it's opened. Other than that, the buddy doing the painting was very happy with the fit.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

Thanks for the update on the tailgate Jason, be sure to post up some pics on your build of what you do to get the tailgate to fit correctly. Doesn't sound like it will be hard to fix though.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

Huge day today, after 4 years of my truck taking up space in my brothers garage it is finally home in my garage. It's on now

All nestled in her new home for good

I was worried about having room for in my garage to work on it but after I got it in there I realized I have plenty of room
