That was the "Endless Summer" of motocross films. So cool! Motocross had not been a thing in America up until the '60s and it had exploded into something big by the time they made this movie. Lots of European bikes back then before the Japanese invasion

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

Got 2-Lane Blacktop?

Went hiking on the C&O Canal towpath one nice day last winter, up the Potomac a short ways from Harpers Ferry. There's an old quarry site into the hillside across the canal bed. A rock outcrop extends to the canal, then on the other side is a distinct railroad grade heading away. In that outcrop, on that side is a tunnel or mine entrance that's filled in. I don't think it went through, as the ceiling gets lower as you go back in... about 20'. I'm not sure what they were taking out of there but my sister thought it might have been copper. There were traces of this white mineral she said is found where copper is, not quartz. Calcite? So there was this blue mineral as well, azurite. I got a pretty good picture of one spot with both, just over the entrance

This one just shows the rock face above the entrance. I think I was trying to show more of this stuff, but it gives an idea of type of rock at that location. The wall of the quarry has layers of clay between layers of rock. Real unstable compared to this outcrop

These two are becoming fast friends. The Corgi puppy chases the German Shepherd around.

Yeah. She doesn't miss too many meals. Between her, the big guy, and two more dogs. I buy a lot of dog food.

I found her sitting on top of my hot tub today. I have no idea how she managed to get herself up there as small as she is and with her stubby legs but she did it.

I took this picture a while back. This is a local electrical contractor's truck. Can you see the eyes light up with the brakes? Pretty clever

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

That shows a lot of creativity and imagination to me and he could park it in front of my place all days long.

But the haunted house isn't mine yet. The ghosts apparently don't want me there and tell the owner to keep the price high.

Burn or is it smooth...they resemble each other now and then.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

that barrel proof is well balanced but it's not for everyone..

try ice - adjust size of cubes and ratio to the amount and speed you drink..

I typically like mine frigid cold with just a little bit of melt depending on the whiskey..

two fingers in a heavy rocks glass over large cubes to the top is about a 10-15 min sip for me

now when it's packaged like this - look out
