Thanks,
Actually it was 3 coats of base three coats of clear. Kyle had to get on to me a few times about laying it too thick. That is a real no-no with BC/CC. It can lead to all kinds of problems. He taught me more about the actual painting process in one day then have learned in the last 20years .
It was super beneficial to have a pro looking over my shoulder.

Braver than me am Did you shoot it dry? Three sounds nice. You mentioned 2 sessions so I wasn't sure.

By two sessions, I had to paint half of the parts in one session then the other parts in the next session. The temperature was kept the consistent to ensure color would be the same.
The basecoat took three even coats to get good coverage. Not super wet. The clear was laid pretty dry on the first coat (actually picked up some orange peel spots from this). The last coat was a little on the thick side in some areas. So to answer your question, with me shooting paint it kinda varied. Overall I'm very happy with the results. Using Kyle's booth literally save me days of extra work redoing panels and sanding out particulate.

It seems like when the paint work is done, it's almost like a sigh of relief. I'm glad for ya, everything looks great.

Thanks Sam, it's been a never ending process. I'm not sure how many hundreds of hours of prep but it was a lot.

Re: 1969 Short Wide

Even though the paint is done, now here comes the hard part. Finding the hiding spot for all of the little pieces that need to go back on it.
