Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
That is huge! I guess I hadn't realized it wasn't with you all along. Looking forward to more on this thread!
What's the story on the big fella in the background of those pics?

That's got to be a great feeling to not have to leave your house to work on your truck.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Thanks I'm very excited, hopefully I can get this thing together this year. I need some tools to work on it first my brother had every tool known to man, I don't even have an air compressor or air tools yet. That will change soon though.
Thanks me too, just got it home before it started snowing here again Quote:

If your asking about the squarebody, that is my nephews. It's got 8" of lift and 37's. Not bad for a 19 year old. Those pics are at my brothers house. Quote:
Yes sir, now I don't have to be jealous of everybody I see on here working on their trucks at home

Glad to hear you got it moved. I'd get nothing done if my truck wasn't right here.

Thanks Steve It was just easier to let my brother tow it, my truck doesn't have trailer brakes in it and I have never towed anything that big before. I didn't want my first time to be with that precious cargo back there

Congrats on getting it home. That's awesome! Be careful that you don't mess up and have your wife demand her parking spot back! Just kidding. Now get to work!

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Yes sir I need to order my bed and get that mocked up and on the frame. After I'm done mocking up the bed and bed floor I'm going to pull all the sheet metal and cab back off and redo my brake and fuel lines and also my exhaust. Then it's on to finishing the bodywork and paint and then hopefully putting it together for the last time

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
I love those wheel! I was kinda worried about residue from the tape being on so long. You probably don't have some rollers you can bolt on? Goo gone should clean them up for ya. I bet you love having this puppy at home.

Thanks Jason, hopefully it will be. Your truck already is bad ass, I really love the black on yours.

Yeah I'm glad too Rus, my problem now is I wish I would have went with a 22" in the rear I'm still debating it.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
If it was me, I'd wait until you put your bed on. You might like how the 20" rear wheel looks. I'm actually going to go with 20's all the way around when I get to replacing my current 22's. I like a little more sidewall though. Regardless of what you decide to do, I love those wheels, and your truck is looking better every time I see it.

I think you made the right call sticking with 20" all the way around. Just my opinion but I prefer non staggered diameters. But heck, you should just sell the whole set to me at nice discount....I have been trying to knock Kyle down on his, he's just not having it.... |
