I work in a 20x20 right now and its freaking miserable. I have scars on my shins from banging them on parts that stick out
It may be a pain but it's nice to have somewhere to work. My good friend Joe doesn't even have a garage.

Lower, I have the same bluetooth receiver mounted under my seat. Love it!
Yes the stereo works amazing and takes no space.

Nice pic in the paper. I bet if you chop the top over winter, you have a better chance of winning next year.
That would be a huge chop to get down to the mazda p/u's.

Sorry to disappoint guys no water in the shop. That would be the icing on the cake tho. Water to the shop changes a lot on the inspection side need a drain hooked up to the city's waste water system, the supply pipe has to be 5.5' deep to prevent freezing. The in floor heating will be a closed loop system with antifreeze. The blue water pipe is so I could run a cable to get internet back there, or whatever I want, or down the road water. I'll just have to blow it out in the winter.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

The vapor barrier is down, forms are level and straight, and the 2" foam is almost done. Today they will get the rebar finished up and pipes layedout for the heat. They are hoping to pour concrete this week. .

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Also on another note 3 weeks today we leave driving my GMC, pulling our camper 770mi in a day and a half to Charlotte NC for the Good guys show like we did last year. We had such a fun trip. Then we are taking 5-6 days stopping along the way to come home. Hope to meet up with some of you along the way.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Rebar got finished last night. Wow that is tedious work all the screw piles have rebar tuning threw them. They have to get piping done this morning because the inspector is coming today. I also got confirmation that concrete will be Saturday morning 😁

Re: My 52 GMC Build

So in floor heating pipes where finished Thursday, but due to rain Friday concrete got pushed back to Monday.
But concrete is done!!!!!!! Took 22 yards and is 6" thick. The guys did a great job finishing the floor, nice and smooth but should not be slippery.
I wet it down last night and covered it with plastic, it will help it cure nice and slow.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

That's a serious amount of floor space. Heated cement sure sounds nice on a cold winter day in the garage.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Right on! I treated my floor with a densifier and then hit it with Ghostshield sealer. Seems to work great, so far everything spilled or dripped on the floor just beads up, including brake parts cleaner.

Doesn't look like you finished in crack control joints. You are going to saw cut them in later, right?

Nope no crack joints. They said to make the cuts work he would have to cut 3" deep and with the water pipes it's to close. He would rather a natural crack if there is one.

I was looking at the picture of the concrete and thinking the same. A heated floor is going to be so nice! Possibly nap inducing on a cold winter day.

Hopefully they can get it all up before it turns to poo up there. At least the concrete is done though!
