Bro, I've gotten full plenty of times just sitting my garage, listening to old skool tunes and staring at the truck. Hell, I don't even need the tunes. The view is just fine.
I'm with you on both your comments. I'm not doing anything else to this one other than little upgrades if possible.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

My recent post was more of how just staring at these trucks is so refreshing. I was also thinking of the first time this truck rolled out of the dealership with its first owner. How hard of a life it had as a regular truck and how now it is living it up pampered well taken of now as a retired truck...

I have moved on from doing anything major to this one. Probably a serious paint job in the future.

I can relate to this very much, as well as many others. we look at our classics as family. I've found myself staring at my chevelle the same way. reminds me of starting the teardown and finding all the little things from the past that were lost in those hard to reach areas. If you could know the trucks memories that would be cool.

I agree, you should enjoy your truck the way it is (Awesome !), and find a new project.

I too enjoy just sitting there and taking it all in. And then the woman comes out and says "what are you thinking about". And yes, the honest answer is nothing. But don't expect her to believe that for a second. I learned long ago that most women don't have the think of nothing ability like we do.lol
so cheers and here's to lots more of those moments.

I 2nd the notion! There is an endless list of things you do to Sylvester, but you've come all this way ant that truck is perfect! Start fresh and when the build gets slow, take Sylvester for a spin and realize the end product is in your grasp! Just sayin' !!!

I am lucky on that dept as my wife is a car fanatic (Mopars) so she just says quit dreaming and start something

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild

Well today took off early in the morning and I came to my friends shop to see how are we going to install my Eleveling sensors that I completely forget I had bought last year. He is going to do the deed on them for me as I do not know how to weld he is going to make brackets for me and hopefully be done today if not sylvester is staying in his shop for a few days time permitting to get it buttoned up. I will get pictures of them installed..

Isn't that an awesome feeling?

Each time our little one goes in the garage he goes "uhroom-uhroom" and points at the '69. And don't even let him see his tot rod in the bed... it's all over then. Ha!

Nate it is such an awesome feeling. Jt is with me ALL the time when I am not at work. He goes to car shows, cruises, driving around everywhere he hangs with me and he insists that we take "his truck" as he has claimed ownership of it.
Jt is so much more special as he is all about him and I he is like my shadow.
