Thanks, I won't be doing anything until after the truck is on the road. I like a little more sidewall too and I like the rear fenders to be filled up. That's why I was thinking about 22's in the rear. I may just go with a larger rear tire like a 295/45/20. I'll wait until the bed is on and then see if I want to go with a bigger tire or possibly larger rear wheels.

I think you made the right call sticking with 20" all the way around. Just my opinion but I prefer non staggered diameters. But heck, you should just sell the whole set to me at nice discount....I have been trying to knock Kyle down on his, he's just not having it....
Thanks Mike, I actually already have those wheel covers. You can see them in some pictures earlier on in my thread. I got them from summit for under $30.00 for all 4.

I figured you would be on Kyle for his, I know how much you like them and he is in your own back yard. You can see them in person. My first set of billets like 12-13 years ago were a 20/22 combo on my Dakota R/T. I was like the first person around to do it I always thought it looked good. Funny thing is I actually ordered these wheels as 20/22 but talked myself out of it and changed my order.

None that is picture worthy. I'm shooting for September and the NSRA show here.

I'm anti-trim. I think it looks too cluttered on a modified truck. Stock it looks ok, bit otherwise, no thanks.

Yeah I was kind of the same way until I saw it on the truck, then I knew I had to have it.

Thanks, I need to purchase all new trim myself. I only have the front half of my original trim left and it needs more work than I'm willing to do. Would be nice for a patina truck.

What color are you thinking on the truck?
Thanks Jason, I'm not sure on the paint. I can't seem to make up my mind on it. Every time I think I have come to a decision I change my mind again. Red is my favorite color but my 72 was red so part of me wants to do something different. My other choices are Hugger Orange, Light Blue and wait for it, Satin Black because I love the way the front end looks right now so I may keep the truck satin black for a while. I know everyone thinks it's played out but I like it and I think it would look awesome with the bright trim, chrome bumpers and Billets. I still have plenty of time to figure it out

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB

I also started mocking up my Boyd's gas tank. I had to run out and get some c clamps and some hardware to mount it with. Should finish it up tomorrow. Had to move my rear crossmember back some to fit the tank. Need to redrill the holes in the bottom of the frame to mount it back up.
