Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
Man I love Reno go about 4 to 5 times a year for the past 40 years. One problem it is sure changing a lot. Love the city more than the lake other than the obvious the lake itself. I am a gambler I prefer Reno over Vegas anytime . One drawback non stops from Houston are limited to winter only, so one stops are a challenge. great looking truck

I go to the sat night woodlands once in awhile. Really would like to take it to a local c-10 meet if I could find one.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
Please do. I buy parts from outback. got my used seat belts there and new dash and other things.
If you live in the Houston Area check outback out for parts. Nice inventory and friendly knowable people. Last edited by kglowacky; 12-30-2023 at 12:48 PM. |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
1980 stepside; straight six with added dual exhaust; three on the tree converted to four on the floor; 3.42 posi rear axle. Home made hidden hitch, spare tire mounted in the bed.
I ordered this truck and caught it in the repair lot at the Flint Assembly (I just missed watching it get built). It was my first new vehicle. I sold it in about 1986 when I got my first company vehicle. K

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II
'87 fleetside; LB4 V6 with TBI, MY6 A833 overdrive manual trans, 3.73 posi axle.
I ordered this truck and followed it down the assembly line at Flint Assembly, and drove it off the line and to the shipping building myself. I got this in September of 1986 when I lost my first company vehicle. Owned it until 1991 when I got my second company vehicle, and sold it to my in-laws. Got it back in 2008 when my F-i-L passed. It was a daily driver until 2016, for 30 years and 200k miles. K

My '85 LS/T56 soon to be pro-touring truck. When I first LS'd it with rallies, then as it sits now and then the ultimate goal with full suspension and Forgelines

3drburb...all of these are quite cool. but the stance, wheel combo, and sanded/patina'd finish on that square body makes that thing super f-ing cool! if you have more pics of that thing please share!

This is #Joe. I bought this truck in Feb 2023. It’s been a work in progress since I bought it, all while being my daily driver.
