Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Just wondering how mine would sit in comparison
My rear wheels are 6" backspacing on a wide housing. I may have to space them out a tad but maybe 3/8 or 1/2 is not a big deal. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
I would swap to the narrower rear housing (67-69) waaaaay before I would do any welding on your beautiful truck.
Just my 2 cents,...

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Keith that's the main reason why I have been hesitant about doing that mod. I would rather just buy another set of rear wheels with the correct backspace. But I am ok with it don't feel like spending 1600.00 on new rear wheels to gain a half inch lower. Knowing how I always get tired of wheels my next set will have the different offset.
Rob definitely a great idea on the group but if I decide to go that route I will speak with Justin. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
$1600?
I just figured a new housing and axles,... and swap all of your parts. Plus you get to keep the amount of wheel lip, that you have now.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Thanks joe!!!
I am ok with the wheels as even it they tucked more I would only gain 1/2 inch so it is not a big deal plus I like the fat look in the rear it has Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Sunshine state isn't always sunny. I love the random rain storms. Not as bad since I moved up here but sure do remember them down south.
