Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I dropped driveshaft parts off to have a new one made. As soon as it gets done I can drive it for the first time as a 4x4. I bet it drives different than it did as a 2wd.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Tonight I installed my new overflow bottle that I picked up at an Auto zone for about $10 bucks with the bracket, for the radiator. I was debating on were to mount it. I think I found a good spot. I made a bracket that wraps around the battery and bolted it to the rad support, then mount the bottle bracket to it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

started making my buddy bucket seat adjuster lever since when i bought my seat it was broken! so any one who wants to make on you will need :
one 8'' or however long or short you want it rod 1/2 inch thick round stock rod

and a grinder with a 80 grit sander to make it nice and smooth after you grind it down

and a torch to bend it how ever you want and some bolts i am thinking a 3/8th or 5/16 th bolts and nuts

You didn't use sandpaper, or scotchbrite or a brush or wheel?

Harbor Freight, it holds 40lbs of baking soda and it works great. I used it for about an hour and got as much done as I did the previous 8 hours. There are places I was able to get clean (paint and grime free), like around rivet heads and where brackets are attached to the frame, that I wouldn't have been able to get to with sand paper. WEAR A RESPIRATOR IT IS VERY DUSTY!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I took the day off from my real job and installed 3 inch drop coils up front, shock relocation kit in the back, double adjustable panhard bar, new shocks(front and back) and 5 inch drop coils in the back. Also checked and filled my rear diff. Took about 5 hours but was well worth it. I love the new stance. I will post up some pics this weekend.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Found (bought) a right AND a left big block motor mount stands today. I got one (the left) from a Chevy dealer in Costa Mesa, California for $108.00 and the right from a Chevy dealer in North Carolina for $60.00. I feel blessed.
